大分県別府市にある日本語学校にほんごCompassが映画「バベルの学校」を通じ、多様性のある社会が育つ、きっかけになるよう映画上映を行います。
さらに、数カ国の登壇者によるトーク＆ディスカッションも行います。
第1回にほんごCompass映画祭、お一人でもお気軽にお越しください。

Nihongo Compass, a Japanese language school located in Beppu, will present the film "La Cour de Babel” to provide an opportunity to foster a diverse society. 
We will also have a talk & discussion session by speakers with multicultural experiences. We would like to make this event where people come to realize that everyone has different backgrounds regardless of their nationalities and races, and to realize the importance of acknowledging that. This is our very first film festival. We all look forward to seeing you there.

ある教師の人生最後のクラスにそれぞれの事情を抱えて集まった国籍がバラバラの生徒たち---。出会い、そして別れ。国境を超えた友情に心温まる感動のドキュメンタリー

This documentary follows a year in the life of a middle school “adaptation class” for immigrant children who have just arrived in France. The 24 students came from 20 different nationalities, with different languages and different reasons for immigrating to France. The children, who cannot even speak French, gradually come to know France, themselves, and other cultures by striving together in an unfamiliar environment. The film depicts their struggles and their growth as they are, and gives us insight into the way individuals think and about how they deal with others from different cultures and norms.
